Chairperson of Mejlis met with the Ambassador of Hungary to Turkmenistan

On 12 September 2024, a meeting was held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tashkent) József Rózsa. The Ambassador presented credentials to the Turkmen side.

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, the head of the Mejlis congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post and wished him successful work aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Thanking for the hospitality, Ambassador József Rózsa conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok to the leadership and people of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the diplomat was acquainted with the constructive foreign policy course of independent neutral Turkmenistan.

The sides noted the progressive development of Turkmen-Hungarian relations both in bilateral format and within the framework of international structures, in particular the UN and the EU.

The Chairperson of the Mejlis drew attention to the priorities of the state policy pursued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. It was noted that the large-scale projects of national and international importance that have earned Turkmenistan high international standing are aimed at ensuring a decent and prosperous life of the people.

During the talks, the sides expressed interest in further diversification of partnership in a number of key areas, including trade and economic sphere, healthcare, agriculture, etc.

The sides highlighted the importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary and cultural-humanitarian ties, which promote mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan József Rózsa thanked the Turkmen side for a comprehensive conversation and assured that he will make every effort to strengthen and expand trustful interstate relations.
