Meeting of Heads of Customs Services of the Economic Cooperation Organization Member States
On May 28, 2025, Head of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan Maksat Hudaykulyyev took part in the 10th meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the Member States of the Economic Cooperation Organization held in Tehran.
The Council was attended by heads and representatives of customs ministries of the member states, as well as representatives of high-level, international and regional organizations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The participants of the event discussed the current state and prospective opportunities for regional cooperation between the member states of the organization, including the issues of facilitating the turnover of regional trade and modernization of customs procedures.
In his speech, the head of delegation of Turkmenistan outlined a number of issues and initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries of the region in the customs system.
The participants expressed confidence that the agreements reached would lead to further development of regional interconnectivity and progress in the transportation of international goods.
In addition, the delegation of Turkmenistan held bilateral meetings within the framework of the working visit. During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of the Program of Joint Measures on Further Deepening and Expansion of Cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the implementation of the envisaged measures on further deepening and expansion of cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
