The Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Ambassador of the PRC to Turkmenistan

On June 26, 2026, a meeting was held between Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Ji Shumin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the diplomat, O. Atabayeva emphasized the current high level of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation, which is successfully developing across a wide range of areas.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, the Ambassador highlighted the expansion of bilateral ties in recent years, as well as the regularity of high-level visits.

During the meeting, O. Atabayeva once again expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the high level of organization during the visit of the Charity Fund's delegation to Beijing in August last year.

As noted, within the framework of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Soong Ching Ling Foundation. A meeting was also held with the Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Shen Yueyue.

The diplomat emphasized the significance of the Turkmen delegation's visit to the PRC, led by the Vice-President of the Fund. Taking this opportunity, he conveyed greetings and best wishes to Oguljahan Atabayeva from Li Bin, the head of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation, as well as from Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Expressing gratitude for the warm words, the Vice-President of the Fund emphasized that the visit had become a symbol of friendship and mutual understanding.

Special attention was paid to the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of children's healthcare. In this context, the Fund’s readiness to consider constructive proposals from Chinese partners was reaffirmed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Ji Shumin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan, exchanged their best wishes, expressing confidence in further successful cooperation for the benefit of the younger generation.
