TURKMEN-BAHRAIN POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS WERE HELD IN ASHGABAT
On July 8, 2019, political consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the delegation, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain for International Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, who has arrived to Ashgabat on a working visit.
During the consultations the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the priority areas of political relations between the two countries. The parties also considered the implementation of signed interstate agreements and other documents.
Noting the country's foreign policy activities, built based on the country's neutral status; the parties discussed a wide range of regional and international issues of mutual interest and noted the need to continue bilateral consultations in regional and international organizations, primarily in the UN and its specialized agencies that form the basis of the multilateral cooperation.
In addition, during the political consultations, the parties, speaking about the interest in developing bilateral relations in the areas of trade and economy, cultural-humanitarian issues and legal base, exchanged their views on theirs further intensification.
