A MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN THE CONSUL GENERAL OF TURKMENISTAN IN IRAN AND THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF THE NORTH KHORASAN PROVINCE OF IRAN

On June 12, 2023, a bilateral meeting was held between the Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran (Mashhad city) Y. Gaipov with Mohammad Badri Fariman the Deputy Governor of the North Khorasan Province of Iran.

During the meeting, was noted the active pace of relations between the two countries, especially the importance of the conference "Export and trade opportunities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkmenistan", which is planned to be held in Iran from June 12 to 18, 2023, during which the visit of the Turkmen delegation is going on in the North Khorasan Province of Iran, bordering with Turkmenistan. Gratitude was expressed for the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of industrial and construction enterprises of the region.

As an important point was discussed successful implementation of activities identified in the MOU “On trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the provinces of North Khorasan of Iran and the Akhal velayat of Turkmenistan”, which was signed during the visit of  His Excellency the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 15-16, 2022.

At the end of the meeting, the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Iran discussed preparations to the opening ceremony of the new “Arkadag city”, which is scheduled to be held on June 29, and presented a letter of invitation to the Governor of North Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammadreza Hossein Nejad. The invitation was kindly accepted.
